Adam has been with us at the Sanctuary for just a few weeks but he’s already found a place in each of our hearts. Shortly after he arrived, Adam collapsed and was rushed to the veterinarian for treatment. He was diagnosed with severe pneumonia. His chances of survival were slim but we could all see that Adam wasn’t ready to leave us just yet. With the expert care he received from Dr. Julie Breer and the staff at at the Smith Veterinary Hospital, and the love from all of us here at the Sanctuary, Adam has miraculously begun to recover. He has a long road of healing ahead of him but we look forward to being there beside him every step of the way.
Up-date. Great news! Adam is now off his antibiotics and is out and about. He is interested in all sounds and loves the poultry. He hound howls at everything that gives him joy. Which is a lot. Adam is also a huge love bug. He is very helpful to everyone. He follows the volunteers around, doing all he can to assist. Adam is also a BIG fan of Charlie Bear treats (hint, hint). At 1 o'clock on the dot every day its siesta time and Adam heads inside and goes straight for his special snuggle bed with the back bolster. Adam is one happy dog!
This beautiful girl is over 30 years old. Her journey of recovery was long, but each day she spends with us she seems younger than the day before!
